Finally, six days after receiving our travel approval, we have received our itinerary and can confirm our travel plans! "Kimi" Day is scheduled for 2/21/2011! We will be staying at the Holiday Inn, Aqua City, in Nanjing and at the Victory Hotel in Guangzhou.I have attached three photos taken from a video created on 01/20/2011. Another adoptive mom, Myra, was in China adopting her son, Will, and visited her son's orphanage, which happens to be our Kimi's orphanage! She met Kimi there and put a little red circle sticker on her hand, which, to Kimi, was "the BEST thing ever" (per Myra)! She then picked Kimi up, and Kimi voluntarily gave Myra a BIG squeeze and a kiss on her cheek! (see first photo above) After putting her down, Myra gave her a red sucker. Kimi obviously had never seen one before and didn't know what it was or what to do with it, and just held it. The orphanage director took it out of her hand and put it in her mouth. When she got her first taste of the cherry sucker, she had the happiest look on her face! (see second photo above) The third photo is Kimi holding the little purple pig that Myra gave her. Is she absolutely precious, or what?! Only 22 more days until we can hold her in OUR arms!
Yes, she is absolutely precious! So lucky that Myra was able to meet her and photograph her as well. Only three weeks to go-you must be beyond excited. Congratulations.
