Andy's cranial pressure guage was removed today, and they are beginning to take him off of the ventilator as I write! Its WONDERFUL to see fewer monitors and lines in that room! He is also waking up more and more as they reduce his sedation. I am requesting prayer - that Andy will be calm as he becomes aware of everything that is happening.
I made a little photo collage for Andy's ICU room that Eddie taped to the wall today. I thought it would be nice for the doctors and nurses to see Andy without all the medical equipment. This is one of the photos I included.
I think that those pictures are vital to him being seen as a child and not a patient. Great idea!
